1. Scope
This AUP applies to use of Veprio's website, software, customer portals, APIs, AI-powered features, WhatsApp Business Platform integrations, telephony and voice features, workflow automation, and any other Veprio service or feature.
You are responsible for the activity of your authorised users, agents, employees, contractors and integrations that access Veprio through your account.
2. Lawful and authorised use
You may use Veprio only for lawful, authorised business purposes and in accordance with this AUP, our Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, applicable law, and any terms or policies that govern third-party services you connect to Veprio.
You must not use Veprio to:
- violate applicable law, regulation, court order or legal duty;
- violate another person's privacy, publicity, intellectual property, confidentiality or other legal rights;
- misrepresent your identity, organisation, authority or affiliation;
- facilitate fraud, phishing, scams or deceptive practices;
- interfere with another person's lawful use of a service; or
- use Veprio in a manner that exposes Veprio, its customers, end-users or service providers to material legal, security or operational risk.
3. Messaging, calling and consent
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of Veprio for messaging, calling, follow-ups, reminders or other communications is lawful and expected by the recipient.
You must:
- obtain any consent, opt-in, permission or other lawful basis required before contacting an individual;
- provide any legally required notice or disclosure before recording, transcribing or otherwise processing a call;
- maintain records of consent or opt-in where required or reasonably appropriate;
- honour valid opt-out, stop, unsubscribe, block or withdrawal requests promptly;
- comply with applicable telemarketing, anti-spam, Do-Not-Disturb, consumer-protection and communications laws; and
- ensure that the content, timing, frequency and purpose of communications are appropriate for the permission the recipient gave.
You must not:
- send spam or unsolicited bulk communications;
- use purchased, scraped, harvested or improperly obtained contact lists;
- continue contacting a person after a valid request to stop; or
- use Veprio to contact a person whom you would not otherwise be legally permitted to contact.
4. WhatsApp Business Platform
If you use Veprio with Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, you must comply with the then-current terms, policies and documentation applicable to your use of WhatsApp Business, including applicable WhatsApp Business terms, messaging policies, commerce restrictions and technical requirements.
You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining any opt-in or permission required before sending a WhatsApp message or placing a WhatsApp call, and for ensuring that the user reasonably expects the category of communication they receive.
Where separate permission is required for a particular category of messages or for calling, you must obtain that permission before initiating the communication.
You must provide a clear and effective way for recipients to opt out where required and promptly honour requests to stop receiving some or all categories of communication.
You must not use WhatsApp through Veprio to send prohibited, restricted or impermissible content, sell or promote prohibited goods or services, evade Meta or WhatsApp enforcement, or circumvent messaging or quality restrictions.
Meta or WhatsApp may independently restrict, suspend or terminate phone numbers, templates, business accounts or other functionality. Veprio does not control those decisions and cannot guarantee continued access to a third-party communication platform.
5. Prohibited content and conduct
You must not use Veprio to create, transmit, promote, facilitate or materially assist:
- illegal activity or instructions to commit illegal activity;
- fraud, scams, phishing or deceptive schemes;
- harassment, stalking, intimidation, threats or targeted abuse;
- hateful or discriminatory abuse directed at protected groups;
- sexual exploitation, sexual content involving minors, grooming or any conduct that endangers children;
- non-consensual intimate imagery or other serious privacy abuse;
- impersonation or materially misleading claims about who you are or whom you represent;
- malware, credential theft, malicious links or attempts to compromise systems;
- unauthorised collection, disclosure, sale or misuse of personal data;
- content or transactions prohibited by applicable WhatsApp commerce or business policies; or
- conduct intended to evade safety controls, account restrictions, platform enforcement or legal requirements.
6. Privacy and personal data
You must collect and process personal data through Veprio only where you have the notices, permissions, consents, contractual rights or other lawful basis required for that processing.
You must not use Veprio to obtain or process personal data through deception, scraping, unauthorised surveillance or other impermissible means.
You are responsible for configuring Veprio so that access to customer information is limited to appropriate authorised users and for protecting credentials and connected accounts.
You must cooperate with reasonable requests necessary to handle privacy, access, correction, deletion, security or regulatory matters relating to information processed through your Veprio account.
7. Responsible AI use
You are responsible for how Veprio's AI features are configured and for determining the degree of autonomy appropriate for your business.
You must not configure or use Veprio's AI to:
- deceive people about material facts;
- impersonate a real person or organisation in a misleading or unlawful manner;
- make high-impact decisions about a person where applicable law requires safeguards that you have not implemented;
- provide professional or regulated advice that the system is not legally or appropriately qualified to provide;
- suppress required disclosures or misrepresent AI-generated content as verified professional advice; or
- bypass Veprio, Meta, WhatsApp or third-party safety controls.
You must use appropriate human oversight where an AI error could create material harm, and you should provide a practical path to a human where the use case reasonably requires one.
8. Healthcare and regulated use cases
Veprio may support administrative workflows for clinics and other businesses, including general enquiries, appointment scheduling, reminders, routing and customer support.
Veprio is not a medical professional, emergency service or substitute for qualified medical advice. You must not configure Veprio to independently diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment or provide emergency medical guidance.
You must not use Veprio's WhatsApp functionality to request, transmit or process health-related or other regulated information where applicable law, regulation, contractual obligation or WhatsApp policy prohibits that processing or requires safeguards that are not in place for the relevant use case.
If your organisation is subject to sector-specific privacy, healthcare, financial, legal, employment or other regulatory requirements, you are responsible for determining whether Veprio is appropriate for the intended use and for implementing required safeguards.
9. Security and platform integrity
You must not attempt to:
- gain unauthorised access to Veprio, another customer's account, data, systems or infrastructure;
- probe, scan or test vulnerabilities without Veprio's prior written authorisation;
- interfere with or disrupt the confidentiality, integrity, security, availability or performance of Veprio;
- distribute malware, malicious code or destructive files through Veprio;
- bypass authentication, access controls, usage limits, rate limits or safety mechanisms;
- reverse engineer, decompile or extract source code except to the limited extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law; or
- access another customer's information except where you are expressly authorised to do so.
10. Automation and rate abuse
Veprio is designed to support automation, but automation must be used responsibly. You must not use scripts, agents, APIs or other automated means to overload Veprio, generate abusive traffic, defeat usage controls, send impermissible communications or evade restrictions imposed by Veprio or a connected third-party platform.
You must comply with applicable technical limits, rate limits, throughput restrictions and platform-quality requirements.
11. Third-party services
Your use of a third-party service connected to Veprio may be subject to that provider's own terms, policies and technical restrictions.
You may not use Veprio to cause or assist a violation of a connected provider's terms or to bypass a restriction, suspension or enforcement action imposed by that provider.
12. Enforcement
If we reasonably believe that your use of Veprio violates this AUP, applicable law, our Terms, or creates a material risk to Veprio, another customer, an end-user or a third-party platform, we may take proportionate action.
Depending on the circumstances, action may include:
- requesting corrective action;
- warning you;
- limiting sending, calling, automation or other features;
- temporarily suspending affected functionality;
- suspending or terminating an account;
- preserving information where reasonably necessary for security, investigation or legal compliance; or
- reporting conduct to a service provider or authority where required or permitted by law.
Where reasonable and permitted, we will attempt to provide notice. We may act without advance notice where urgent action is reasonably necessary to prevent harm, protect security, comply with law, or respond to a third-party platform requirement.
13. Reporting abuse
If you believe Veprio is being used unlawfully or in violation of this policy, please contact chetan@veprio.com.
Please provide enough information for us to understand the issue, but do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, government identification numbers or unrelated sensitive information.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP as Veprio evolves or as applicable laws, communication-platform policies, safety requirements or product capabilities change.
When we update this policy, we will revise the “Last updated” date. Where required by applicable law or appropriate because of a material change, we may provide additional notice.
15. Related policies
This AUP should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and Data Deletion page.
